Welcome to the Black History Month WebQuest! 

     In this Quest, you will learn about important people from Black History Month, which is celebrated in the month of February in the United States. Black History Month or National African American History Month, is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. 

    For this WebQuest you are going to pretend that you are part of the U.S. Treasury Committee -- The U. S. Treasury is the department that is responsible for all the treasury bonds, notes, and bills (money). You will be assigned to a team.  

     You and your team will have an important African American.  You will be in charge of designing a new dollar bill that will feature that person and you will also create a presentation on PowerPoint. 

 

Your classmates will vote for the person they think should be featured in a new dollar bill!
